Besides I have been creating important epoxy resin artworks , shown and sold also in Miami, Italy Milan , Sardinia, Switzerland and more. Now I got allergic to epoxy resin and I'd love to create NFT out of these artworks which have also an energetic power. What, where, supported by whom doo you suggest I can proceed with all of this? I don't grok it-not the process, you explained it well (thank you) but the point of it all. How is this better than Kickstarter? Doesn't turning your work into an unread and unappreciated commodity demean your art?
This is so interesting! I wonder how this model might eventually effect the traditional publishing model...If they'd issue their own NFT's for proposed works, or use NFT's as a measure of interest somehow. Dunno, but this seems to have the potential for positive disruption. Best of luck to you!

This was so useful as many of us explore web3/DAOs/NFTs. It's all so new and uncharted, sometimes even playing to learn feels scary and risky—thanks for jumping in and sharing learnings. For ex., I recently received $15K USD from an airdrop ("popular method used by cryptocurrency projects to reward early adopters") when I claimed free $ENS tokens for my ENS domain.
Anyway, all that to say it's the wild wild west out there and it's so nice when someone can articulate clearly and concisely about the complexities. So thank you. And happy holidays <3
I'm very conflicted on this one. Normally I'm all for exploring and poking at new opportunities, especially tech-based, but every time somebody tries to explain the benefits and opportunities of cryptocurrencies and NFTs I get a very uneasy feeling. I can't quite pinpoint why, which isn't very useful, but there you have it. I think it might be to do with crypto and NFTs being almost exclusively the domain of the already-rich, which is not a playground I have the means or desire to play in.
This feels like something that could massively benefit some early adopters (like you, Elle!), but that if it became more mainstream the potential investment opportunities would be so thinly spread that we'd be back to square one in terms of useful patronage.
Fantastic as always Elle. As someone who both writes, runs a Discord server and is trying to figure out how to marry all of that with crypto and web3 this was a fascinating read. Certainly sparked many ideas that I can try out in 2022.

You are always doing something new! LOL, this sounds interesting to me because I’ve been weighing the options of self-publishing again or pitch my new book to a bunch of indie presses. Kind of daunting to pitch because not only is each one customized by publisher but I have to research them and see if my book is a fit for what they publish. I’ll have to look into this, Elle. I had been thinking about creating a coin that would allow people to get something cool related to my series, like an exclusive artwork, or the ability to vote on story choices. It dovetails nicely with my book, where people get tokens for completing real-world Quests. It seems like Mirror is set up to help with all of those functions?

Ofc, that value continues to wildly fluctuate, e.g., it got halved only a short time later, though I've not really been looking at these funds as liquid (though they are).
